Help speccing a new heating/dhw system

It all depends on how strong the floor is where the cylinders will be stood. As I say, it shouldn't be a problem as long as it's considered - ie whoever is responsible checks that there's sufficient support.

Cylinders like the Megaflow and unflooded OSO may have issues in the loft. Flooded OSO's or cylinders with external expansion vessels will be fine.

An OSO 330 has the option of 28mm tappings for better flow, as well as variable pressure regulators and you can flood it to hold 380 litres of water.

the best place for the cylinder is by the boiler, at ground floor level to avoid complications with drainage...

Even better on a north facing wall so the outdoor sensor is close by.

How was the flooding on your holiday? Did you do a lot of swimming?

quite right Tony....houses should be designed around the services needed, not slotted in as an after thought...into an unwanted corner

yesterday i destroyed a kitchen and a hallway, looking for a gas meter and a two port valve....

the client i am glad to say realised he should have ignored the architecht and instaaled a boiler room for all the services...

thailand was hot sunny and beautiful, yes I did do alot of swimming, but i do that every day even in london!
