Hi I am wanting to wire a fluorescent light in my garage. The garage has an old light that no longer works. I would like to replace the old light with a 5 ft fluorescent tube that came out of the kitchen but still works. This tube has a ceramic connection block with two red wires going into one socket and two black wires going into another. The wiring in the garage consists of a thick grey cable (enclosed in white plastic pipe and coming from the house supply) that contains a red wire, a black wire and a bare earth wire. There is another grey cable coming from the light switch containing exactly the same. Could someone please tell me how these should be connected together. Any assistance would be appreciated
