Help wiring floodlight

Just been out, it's too wet out there. If it goes off in the next hour or so I will put live into light and test. If nothing, will exchange tomorrow.

Exchanged this morning. New one works no problem. Twas a bloody faulty unit.

Cammy 2207. Was it from Homebase by any chance?
I bought one of theirs about 2 months ago to replace a standard switched floodlight. Worked fine for about 6 weeks then began to act strangely. i.e. Light would come on for about 5 seconds instead of the 12 minutes it was set for, then it would just flash on and straight off until a time lapse of about 5 minutes before repeating, then finally it gave up the ghost and stopped working completely. Exchanged for a replacement, switched on, bulb flashed and just refused to work again. Tested bulb in the front light and it works ok so bulb not blown and MCB not tripped. Still have full supply to terminal block. Will be replacing from somewhere else when I get my refund this time but just curious if it was the same brand.

Hi, it was from Screwfix. And yes, I haven't checked but most probably Chinese. I got the 120w version and since exchange it's working perfectly well and gives nearly as good light coverage as my old 400w one. Totally adequate for my 10m x 10m garden.
