Help with Kitchen spotlights.

I use the Integral Evofire from Toolstation. Various sizes and styles available.
Nice and easy to connect the 2 sets of wires with a maintenance free connection. Better than the terminal blocks you are using.

Paired with Wessex GU10 warm white 3.6W
Thankyou

So I can gp straight into the light with the wires from the ceiling??

Going to go for these

I'm going for these I think.
I really wouldnt do that.. They are firstly INTEGRATED items. This means that you have to change the whole thing* if one goes pop, and they do.
Secondly they are marked as "clearance". Probably they are a discontinued range, so you'll never be able to get a replacement!

As already advised above. (8&9) get GU10 mains downlights, then you can change just the lamp if and when they die.

*EDIT I see from the Toolstation description that you can buy a new light module if one dies, but I suspect it an obsolete range.

Thankyou

Sorry. Those are with bulb integrated. My link included all types of Evofire.
Better off going for one you can change the bulb in my opinion.

These ones if you want chrome
Separate bulbs. Dimmable option available.

The grey wires from your ceiling will connect in.

Thanks so much bud, going to buy them at the weekend.

When you say the grey wires I assume you mean the 2 small blue/brown wires into the light itself.

I really appreciate your help, and everyone else who has chimed in.

Yes. The blue, brown and yellow/green earth will need to be connected.
Your blue and brown might need a trim to get them into the connection housing.
Probably obvious but isolate the power to your lighting before working on them.

You may need a bit of earth sleeving. I think your bare earth wires should be individually sleeved.
Wickes sell shorter lengths

I linked the cool white bulbs. Should have been warm. I find cool a bit too blue/harsh
Warm white. Not a fortune if you want to try both.

I definitely wouldn't be fitting those in a garage

You can lead a horse to water but not make it drink springs to mind
