Frank is here.

Another scarey name for a storm.
Now there's Frank Lampard, Frank Sidebottom and a few others, none of them scarey, OK Frank Enstein is possibly the exception but come on, Frank?

Where's the imagination when naming these storms?

If they are going to tell you the truth about what may possibly happen in terms of wind ,rain ,Snow ⛄️,and possible resulting damage etc, they had the choice between Frank and Earnest and chose the former.

PS: Frank is here! Wish they hadn't been so truthful. ☂ ☂ ☂ ☂

Probably named after Sinatra to celebrate what would be his 100th birthday.

With the UK emergency services more like Frank Spencer. "Ooh Betty".

I've just said that. Are you blind?

These are scary:
  • Frankenstein
  • Dr. Frank N. Furter
What's the alternatives? Frederic. Ferdinand. Fabian. Floyd. Fenton. Fonz. They're all a bit posh, Frank is the most down to earth.

Storm Gertrude is next. Maybe.

Last night we heard a loud bang and when we went to look, a tree had blown down. Could be much worse. The only damage to the house was one end of a gutter which had ripped off a small area of the fascia board behind.

Not Hurricane Frank, btw, Hurricane Frances. I prefer the tradition of using female names.

What is the point of giving hurricanes human names anyway?
I knew someone whose dog was called Frank - made getting him to come back sound ridiculous.

Hurricane 1, 2, 3 etc. or A, B, C etc. every year would be just as effective.
