Away from the point somewhat, but that's the point of society though, 'innit. Everyone pays into a pot for the greater good, whether they use it or not.
I don't say that I don't want to pay for the NHS as I don't plan on getting sick, or don't want to pay for people's dole money. I can't opt out of paying for the Iraq War. Why should the education of the future be any different ?

Well you could, but you'd have to opt out of everything (having roads to drive on, pavements to walk on, firmemen to put out your house fires etc.) so I guess you'd need to move to an island or something. Otherwise you just have to take the rough with the smooth.

I'm surprised the photo companies still do school photos. The way they do it is stupid. Fancy sending the finished product out to homes, to let parents decide whether they want the photo.
If they want the photo, SCAN IT! There's nothing to stop someone scanning EVERY SINGLE photo in the pack, stuffing them back into the envelope and sending them back, all FOC!
Also, I always wondered if anything would come back from taking one photo from the pack, and returning all the others . . . . just like a full pack with no order placed. Do they check them? And even if they do, theres NO NAMES OR ADDRESSES associated with each photo! And even if they do track down the face in the school (by stalking the children), the parents could claim the photo was never in the pack / fell out en-route back to the photo ppl! Mistakes must happen from time to time . . .
Stupid system, and no way to conduct a photo business in this day and age of technical wizardry.

I've been giving blood for years. Didn't mind who got it, in the expectation that it would be someone who needed it. Eventually, the day came when that person happened to be me.

Afraid not. So are you saying that there are no benefit cheats who are not asylum seekers also? I don't think so.
We had this benefit problem long before asylum seekers discovered that this was the place to go for freebies, including educating their children which I notice you don't seem to mind either.
