Hip to Gable loft calculations include gutters?

Hi there,

I urgently need some advice. Our architect is adding in the gutters to the volume calculators and I’m challenging this as it means we have to reduce our dormer quite a bit.

Can anyone confirm if they are included or just floor to ridge? Equally on the new gable.. we won’t even have any gutters once it’s finished so the numbers just don’t add up.

I’ve attached pictures. You can see they’ve also added in the overhang which will be removed once we do the gable.

What is the significance of the volumes?

Edit - found it. Maximum of 50m^3.

Yeah I wouldn't have thought you'd include the gutter dimensions.

It's under 50 anyway though?
