I have planning for a hipped roof but builders have advised a gable .

I have spoken to the conservation officer who agreed and said submit a non material change for the hob to gable . Is this the correct process as the case worker will not respond to my email

Yes, otherwise you will not be building in accordance with the approved plans. Out of interest why have the builders advised a gable instead?

Is it a listed building or in a conservation area? If so the planning officer is likely to accept the advice of tne CO but you will be going ahead at your risk.

It's a pretty substantial change on the face of it: what is the context? Do you want a gable?

The builders have probably advised Gable as its easier to do a Gable than a Hipped roof, I would still be looking for a builder that can do a hipped roof.

Tip of the day:

When you pay for plans to be drawn up for something, make sure the plans are for what you actually want to build.
