I have existing digital programmer and wired room stat to my Baxi combi. I’m looking to replace with hive receiver with wireless stat. From my picture, does it seem possible to just wire to existing position in hallway and not touch boiler?

Yes, the Single channel Hive will be a straightforward replacement for the ST6100A - if you're happy showing us the wiring behind it, we should be able to tell you what goes where.

Do you need more view of how wire goes to stat to ID what is what?
Cheers

Yes, if you show us the wiring behind the stat, that would be helpful - it should be possible to decommission and remove it completely.

I’ve removed front of stat and will attach photo of three wires.

Thanks for the extra photos.

I'm afraid I can't be 100% sure of the wiring connections, purely from the photos - it may take a little investigation on your part, to confirm.

I believe these highlighted wires connect to the thermostat...

Screenshot_20240904-171100_Chrome.jpg

The red in terminal 4 of the ST6100 connects to L on the HRT2.
The black wire in the separate terminal block joins with the switched live from the HRT2.
And the extra black wire provides the Neutral to the HRT2.

If this can be confirmed, then those wires can be removed.

To connect the new Hive single channel receiver;
The blue wire in N on the ST6100 can connect to N on the Hive.
Brown in L to L on Hive.
Red wire in terminal 1 to terminal 1 on Hive.
The remaining black wire in the separate terminal block can be connected to terminal 3 on the Hive (the black wire should also be marked in red to denote it as a switched live).
Any remaining Green/Yellow earth wires can join to the Hives earth terminal.

As earlier, I can't tell conclusively that these are the correct wires; if this description doesn't make sense after further investigation, get back to us before making any changes!

Thank you , Will have a closer look and hopefully confirm.

I have tested the three wires in stat and top red wire is common live when programmer activates and next wire down is switched live to boiler when stat clicks on. The bottom wire I assume is neutral?
If I have better look at where wires run I can hopefully confirm what you have stated.
Thanks

Just had closer look. What you have stated makes good sense, so hopefully will be able to sort this week and post the success.
Thank you
