hole in the wall

i need to run some 40mm ducting through a brick wall, what would be the best way of achieving this

dependent on what tools you have, neatesy option is a core drill bit which you can hire out with the drill, failing that a good old fashioned club hammer, cold chisel and bolster
 
thanks for the advice on the core drill but i need to drill 4 or 5 holes so would that not affect the strength of the wall above.
 
four or five holes i would definetly get one dont worry about the weight above im sure banging with a lump hammer and bolster would weaken it more.
