Hi,

After a lot of hard work our kitchen is nearly done. unbelievably getting the washing out of the machine the other night I noticed a small hole in the rubber between the drum and the door, about the size of a 5p. Obviously this will have to be replaced at some point but how soon, we have only had the machine about 4 months!!! If it is urgent is this covered under guaruntee, if not is it a hard job to do???

Many thanks!!

depends where the hole is, size of 5p sounds a bit too big.

if you can see inside the m/c through the hole then yes it needs to be changed.

as for under g'tee, depends on g'tee

As you look down on the machine with the door open, the hole is in the bottom of the crevacey bit on the rubber between door and drum, if you push the drum in gently it opens up this crevacey bit and exposes the hole (If you can understand that!!!). I'm guessing it's double lined as it's not leaking? I'll have a look at the warranty tonight, fingers crossed!!!

I think you have seen the drain slot in the bellows. This is a slot on the very bottom of the bellows it is slot shaped about the size of a five pence peice but this is manufactured like this, it's purpose is to drain away any residual water caught at the bottom of the bellows to stop it rotting thru time. It drains back into the outer tub and thats why you have not seen a leak. You do not have a fault

Blimey, I never knew that! Doesn't look manufactured as it's not central, slightly to one side but I don't have a leak, thanks for the help!
