Strange that nations get named after food they eat..

The other part of sauer is usually sauerkraut. ie the kraut being cabbage and kraut also being the generic English description for Germans.

We were known to the Americans as 'limeys' due to eating limes. To the French we are known as 'Rosbifs' and they as 'frogs' to us.

However this will no longer be the case as in future all nationalities from around the world wherever they are will simply be known as 'bigmacs'
