Trying to add (should say re-add) a proximity keytag to this keypad.

Followed instructions:- enter usercode> 8 (code) > user > wait for double beep > present tag

Aint working, dont get double beep, just triple beep to say proceedure has failed!

Any ideas, are instructions misprinted?

Cheers

what panel is it this is connected to?

I will need to check that. Its just a grey metal box mounted high up in the garage. There are no markings on the outside, would I need to open it up to get model?

probably, usulally written on the main IC. (chip)

or how about a picture of said keypad and reader?

here you are:

Trying to add this tag:

which controls this!

looks like a galaxy end station box.

You mentioned it used to work, perhaps it is already registered but not told what to do , i.e set / unset the alarm?

or have you tried learning a different tag?

or deleteing all tags and re learning them?

I have two tags. Both worked and had been assigned to different user codes by the engineers that installed the system.

It was just after I had enterd programming mode to increase the entry/exit times that they stopped working, so it must have been something that I did by mistake!

So im lost what to do now other than follow instructions in the user manual.

The user manual does not say anything about assigning tags or anything.

This might help.

PS appreciate your replies by the way.

Sorry, I meant it does not say anything I didnt already know (see first post). Have tried following instructions several times, they dont work!!

I would suggest that you are using a 'User code', and NOT the 'MASTER User Code' to programme your Fob.

Fobs can only be programmed using the Master User Code, hence the triple beep.

I'm sure my code is the master code, but is there any way I could tell for sure?

try following the instructions and removing the tags, master code should allow you to do that

I am having the exact same problem.

Did you manage to sort it / does anyone know how to find out the master code if I have got it wrong?
