Honeywell CM927 Starting to Fail.

On the pursuit for a replacement for my existing CM927/BDR91, I have looked at the Honeywell T4R (£95) but also found a Wolseley Center device (Product code 340017) (£71), which appears to be a Honeywell device badged for Wolseley.
The former comes with a one year warranty while the Center alternative has two. There is also a suggestion that the Center device can be ‘paired’ with the existing relay unit. Anyone know if this is the case, also, any views on the reliability of this alternative?

The screen failure problem on the CM9XX range affected a particular batch of products. I bought a CM927 in 2007 and it was still working faultlessly when I moved house last June. By contrast, my son's four year old CM907 had a screen failure a few years ago. He sent Honeywell a pic of the screen and of the date code on the back. In return they sent him a replacement CM907.

Thanks for that.
I sent Honeywell snapshots of my screen failure and date of manufacture (April 2015). In reply they offered me a £25 discount on a replacement T4R or T6R through Plumbnation. Oddly enough they didn’t include The CM927 in the offer. So my dilemma is whether to go for the T4R and change out the relay unit or go for the cheaper Center option which may bind with the existing relay unit.
PS, the old unit is now functioning, following my messing about with the PCB, so I’m not desperate to replace straight away. I’m just concerned it will fail again.

i have installed plenty of these honeywell’s and many have failed including two in my own home. i swapped to the wolseley version purely because of price and have never had one fail

So even though it’s a CM copy the screen issue isn’t evident?
Also, are relay units compatible so all that’s required is to bind the new display with the old relay unit.

i haven’t had a problem with them but they come ready paired out the box. they are literally a 5 minute change so I would change the whole lot. the wiring is the same
