Greetings everyone!
First time posting on here so please be gentle and overlook my rudimentary plumbing knowledge!
I have recently moved house to one which has an evohome system fitted. However, the previous owner has inexplicably excluded the kitchen/dining area from the zoning meaning that whenever a zone (fitted with motorised TRV) calls for heat, the radiators in the kitchen are also heated.
Is there a way to add these radiators to the system without using the evohome motorised valves? The reason i am reluctant to add said TRV's is that the radiators are beautiful cast iron fitttings and i do not want to ruin the aesthetic appeal (shallow i know!)
I had contemplated fitting a motorised valve on the flow to the kitchen and controlling it via an evohome relay but as the pipework is fed under the kitchen floor from the hallway it would be impossible to access for maintenance without ripping up carpets and floorboards (they are currently up at the moment as i am adding additional rads to other areas).
Any suggestions please? It seems rather pointless to have an evohome system in place without actually zoning areas of the house effectively!
Thanks,
David
