We are an island surrounded by water, famous for our rainfall. Do you not find it strange that they try to restrict your usage with soundbites, nonsense, half truths & downright lies???

Water water everywhere & not a drop to drink.

No restrictions here in Staffs. Shove your sound bites.

Water companies first need to harvest the water, purify and pump it. It would be great fun if it fell into a container and spouted out the tap, yes. Flash floods probably do more harm than good, in any case.
Lol.

Its not instant.

The water companies have errr, big massive reservoirs and the water coming out the taps is not the rain from yesterday.

The point is, there is no water shortage, especially when we have entered the period of less usage and more replenishment.

Pass across Blithfield reservoir regularly. Looking a lot better than it did a month ago.

Same with Yorkshire Water.
You can use a hosepipe for activities directly associated with your building work, e.g. mixing cement, but not for cleaning paths and roads unless for health and safety purposes. You can continue to water newly laid turf (until its 28 days old) with a hosepipe.
