hot water/heating overflow problems

all a bit confusing , mind u it does not take alot to confuse me of late but is your heating expansion tank higher than your cold water storage tank ??

Well if his heating expansion tank is higher than his cold tank , the coil in the hot water cylinder may be holed ?? therefore the heating tank is leaking slowly into his cylinder & than into the cold tank as the water trys to find its level ? than again if it was the exp tank would be runnig all the time ??

i agree with you.

i answered this problem back in june and he came back tonight and asked again

and both times we proved it stopped with the mains water isolated.
so i ruled the cylinder holed problem out.
