Hot water ok , Central heating not working

The boiler does not have a time clock. There are time settings on the Thermostat but that then goes back to either the thermostat or BR1 receiver is failing. Thermostat is sending the signal so feel it is the receiver.
Cant see a way to get a manual CH on with the boiler. Will be ordering EPH CP4 to see if that helps

You can still join the wires, but no on/off control. Did you change the batteries? (You’d be surprised)

Will need to see how it is wired inside. The manual seems to show two options
From what I said in post #15

Do you have a time clock? If yes, join (safely by isolating power 1st) the Lx and L1 at the Siemens receiver, power back on and heating should come on and control with time clock

Cant see a pump or valve external to the boiler. I think being a combi boiler it has not got one of those three way valves that used to stick on previous systems I have had with hot water tanks.
It will have a diverter valve in the boiler. Combis have diverter valves and pumps inside the boilers.

Thanks guys that makes sense now.
Boiler came on around 5 am by itself, Then just stopped working by itself 6 hours later.
Thanks for the help will start to work my way through it slowly.

Many Thanks

Just I need case you are going to try the batteries 1st, make sure they are good quality alkaline ones, none of this cheap zinc shoite designed for low draining equipment
