Swift hijack here gents- v interesting thread. Scenario- largish house, conventional (vented) cylinder, twin ridge roof so not much head (fnarr fnarr) on the hot water in the upstairs bathrooms (2 of). Are there any beartraps involved with fitting something like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/salamand...-regenerative-single-shower-pump-1-5bar/13775 at the end of a long leg (16 metres) fitted with one of these recirculating pumps & loop (nice simple layout, longest dead leg will be the kitchen sink at 2 metres). TIA
PS Been looking at the plate heat exchanger sketch and the coil in tank sketch to solve the hot water pressure- unvented cylinder is a bit of a nonstarter, the main heat source is a woodburner. Presumably the plate heatex wouldn't work very efficiently with any sort of recirculating system?
