Hot Water Tap Efficiency

We are in the process of planning for a new kitchen.

Seen one of these hot taps:

Some people have mentioned their uses, and potential energy saving over boiling the kettle, heating pans of water from cold etc.

Anyone got any thoughts?

You'd need to save a lot of energy to get back the 450 quid plus installation cost.....

Can get hold of one for a little cheaper than that.

It was more easy living / gadget that appealed. Just wondered about running costs really compared to kettle / electric hob for heating water.

I'm aware would need to save a few beer tokens to pay for the initial outlay.

We had 15 litre constant boiling water units in the office, on average lasted about 2 years before limescale clogged them up. Depends how hard your water supply is.

Energy discussions aside I think they're brilliant, no more boiling a kettle, ever!
