My son has the above oven which is approximately 5 years old.

The fan oven takes approximately 30 mins to reach 200 degrees, the oven without the fan takes 10 mins to reach 200 degrees.

He has confirmed he can hear the fan running when he starts the fan oven.

Please can you advise the most likely part to replace. I'm thinking it may be the oven element, although I would have thought that if it was faulty, running the oven without the fan would also have the same issues.

Many thanks.

Fan oven or fan assisted ?
Generally, it will take longer to heat the oven and may not be as efficient in keeping the heat consistent throughout the oven. Fan assisted ovens are generally at the lower end of the price range.

Oven is described as:
  • Fan, Fan-Assisted, Conventional, Grill, Pizza, and Dough Proving functions
The fan assisted oven used to reach temperature in 10 mins, it now takes 30 mins.

There should be 3 elements in that model. I'm not sure how they are utilised but I would imagine one of them has failed. Test all 3 with a multi meter. If they are ok it will probably be the controller. The user manual should tell you which elements are heated in each mode.
