Hotpoint wmf940 washing machine not filling with water

Have you looked inside the pump does it turn when set to pump out. Is the waste pipe blocked. Is the a blockage from the sump to the pump.

How would I check this? Could it be a faulty pump?

When set to pump out nothing happens at all, no noises? I'm not sure how to check the sump

Is there power to the pump. Stick a meter on the pump connections should be 240 volts.

How do I check this? Sorry I've never had to fix a wm before. Do you have photos or diagram of what I need to check

If you haven't got a meter to check things I would consider calling in the pros. It's cost you money do far on the parts you replaced. If you call the manufactures they will do the repairs for about £110.00

I borrowed a meter and pump seems to be ok.
Should I take off all pipes and just check for blockages although I'm quite sure they aren't.

I have checked all pipes and there are no blockages anywhere.

I put the machine on a wash programme and it does now make the filling noise it used to make but doesn't fill with water or drain water .

Does water enter the soap tray , is there water in the drum

So it makes the filling noise but nothing goes in. You sure it's not the pump making that noise.

It could be im not too sure. It's just weird how water doesn't enter and if I put water in manually it won't drain
