Hi guys,

In the process of installing a shower tray and the floor needs levelled where the tray will be going but as the floor is divided by the waste flow that needs to stay, how do I make sure both sides are level with each other? All ideas welcome. Thanks.

If you are bedding on sand cement you can level as you lay it down if not to off level. Try and build up the ditch as much as possible first

Thanks for the response. I had thought of that but not just is the sand and cement idea more permanent but as I am doing it on my own it would be difficult to set the waste in place, check for leaks then to try and cement tray down whilst waste was connected. Maybe I am thinking about it wrong?

I have opted to go with a thick layer of screed and have partitioned the gully off using a type of laminate flooring underlay that I picked up in B&Q. It should work OK but I will of course keep a close eye on it and I'm levelling.
