I've posted here because there's more traffic (scuse pun!) here than in the Cars Forum.

I'm looking into cars that have a loftier driving position. I have been in touch with manufacturers and they don't have such a measurement in their data.

My work's Connect has 25" between the seat cushion & the tarmac. Same with my Father-in-law's Partner. (I mean his car, not his missus!!)

Have you got such a car? If so, could you measure the distance between the seat cushion (on driver's side) and the road and post it here? Thanks.

Measurements would be flawed. Most cars have adjustable height (sometimes called lumbar adjustment due to the contours of the back rest)

Since driving vans at work my main choice for getting around now is a van due to the lofty driving position.
I drive a transporter. No car comes close.
It has 1m (39 3/8") between the tarmac and the seat level. :D

I have realised that. Maybe I should have asked for the minimum distance between road & seat cushion...

seat height has nothing to do with lumbar support which is entirely in the upright section of the seat and is there to support/position the lower back correctly.

nono, my car defines the height adjuster as a lumbar adjuster. The reason is, as the seat base moves up and down, the seat back support changes. ;)

About 5' 10"

Because he feels inadequate in his low-down octavia, and wants something he can feel more manly in.
