How Much to fit Glow worm electrode

My local gas engineer replace the PCB on a Glow worm ultimate for £400.00 which i think was fair so i have paid
The engineer then told me it needed a new white electrode which his words cost about £20.00
He fitted the new electrode this afternoon , I was out working he called me to say boiler working all ok now
Then he said to fit the new electrode would be £180.00 which seems very high he was only there for 30 minutes max
What do you think i have not paid yet and he is already texting me for the £180.00

I'd ask about bill. See what they say.
It's a tuff one tbh.
Quality of work and service. Stand by work and come back if there is a problem.
Probably half day wage plus parts so £125 plus parts plus vat approx.
Wasn't 30 mins. Travel. Pick up parts ect was 2 hours. Guy needs to charge half day as not much chance to find another small job to make up half day.
Consider training and knowledge as well.

Did you have to wait 3 weeks for him to fit you in?

Was it a quick response?
How long was you without hot water/heating?

If he's a good engineer, then be careful not to pee him off. There are plenty of shockers out there, who will pull your socks off.

did the boiler work after the pcb ? what was original problem boiler not lighting ?
and why did he say it then needed an electrode ?
