Planning application/permission has absolutely nothing to do with Building Regulations approval.

Part P has been in force since 01/01/2005 - had you had Building Regulations approval and had you provably started the work by then?

You're probably OK.

But I checked with Prudence, and she said you ought to check with your council:

• If you're OK - nothing lost.
• If you are OK but they think you're not - you have more time to get their error rectified.
• If you're not OK - better to find out now, when you can make it OK, than at the end when they refuse a completion certificate and you can no longer make it OK.
