I recently cleared a blockage in my gravity HW pipes and the heat is rising again, but what I'd like to know is if the flow rate is now normal or I have just partly cleared a blockage and it's still not optimal.
If my system is completely cold, and I fire up the boiler on HW only so it fires for a few minutes till it reaches the boiler thermostat temperature and cuts out and the flow pipe at the boiler is too hot to touch, then the water starts to rise... how long before the flow pipe up at the cylinder should be getting too hot to touch?
The cylinder is about 5m away, 3m in elevation, with a couple of short horizontal runs about 50cm, and one long slight incline about 10 degrees elevation. Pipework is 28mm.
