What is the proof? A certificate? And what should it say? CheersWe get asked for proof all the time so he should not have a problem sending you proof,
Public liability, yes it will be a certificate. What is the proof? A certificate? And what should it say? Cheers
We only tend to asked when dealing with Highways etc. We had to up our liability (from 5 to 10 mill) a few years back, to satisfy Highways, when erecting Heras fencing on a footpath. We get asked for proof all the time so he should not have a problem sending you proof,
My insurance suppliers say they don't issue a certificate (for PLI) per say. Rather I forwarded the schedule as you said. They will have a Certificate of Insurance, just like you have for your home and car. If the detail is not included, also ask for the Schedule.
Not even a standard template that they email out or you can download? My insurance suppliers say they don't issue a certificate (for PLI) per say. Rather I forwarded the schedule as you said.
I remember emailing the schedule and all the relevant policy details, but no actual certificate. I had a look back at the email back and forth, starting with me having to up my liability threshold etc. The Highways bod was satisfied in the end.Not even a standard template that they email out or you can download?
I'd certainly want to see proof that cover was in place - dates, and amount of cover and suchlike.
I don't think the OP has been refused yet...?- so i dont see why the builders cannot provide this to you
Yes it's early days yet. I just noticed they are on checkatrade and it's says the pl insurance is verified.I don't think the OP has been refused yet...?
Never rely on a third party saying something is "verified" unless that third party will cover all your loses if that's not actually the case.Yes it's early days yet. I just noticed they are on checkatrade and it's says the pl insurance is verified.
Agree.Never rely on a third party saying something is "verified" unless that third party will cover all your loses if that's not actually the case.
We've been beam-ing today. It was a right b'stad as we had very little wiggle room due to the wall below and its lintels and doors etc, to remain for the time being. The outer leaf beam goes in on Monday...Not sure what to ask to see from a builder who says they have insurance? Should I get them to email something? This is for a structural alteration? (Steels, padstones, removing load bearing walls etc).
