How to Choose a Socket for Rachet?

8'x4'x18mm plaster board anyone? (ok, I know it's really 2400x1200x18mm) but it amuses me in a childish way.

Same reason chucks are often 13mm. As it rounded up 0.5"

UK and metric is odd. I use solely metric for measuring most things. Apart from miles, speed, height and weight and alcoholic drinks, unless it's spirits when it's back to metric.

Better a pint than half a litre!

Can you post a picture of the cog and said nut on the machine, not too close in
This is the cog still attached to the scarifier and the broken cog from the blades.

Way out of my league! I don't recognise that machine, but Suffolk use plastic gears which are similar.
John :)

I don't have a spare and haven't been able to find one online yet. I'm shielding so can't go into a shop. The idea was to transfer the scarifier's cog over to the blades for the time being.

Ah, I see what you are doing now.
I've never heard of an SPP175.....can you give us more details to see if we can help?
John :)

There are people who could use the old plastic one to cast new in Aluminium.

If your doing vitual spanner courses, sign me up woody!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I'll see what I can do.

But my experience is often based on pure desperation. If I don't have the right tool, I'll make one that I do have fit - usually the brummie universal spanner.
