Hey all, long time lurker first time poster.
We are doing some work to our roof and alongside the strip and re-felt we will be fitting some lead flashing. The parapets are short however: possibly too short for stepped flshings. The neighbouring houses have both been done with some sort of single cover which appears to be wedged up under the headlap of the tiles and then probably just screwed in behind the bell cast for the render:
We're not planning on rendering as we're doing the whole traditional hygro-thermal envelope if the building thing and using open breathable materials and wanted to keep them free of cement; especially seeing what state they are in behind the render. Pretty sure it's just the render holding up the coping stone at this stage! We're good on the left hand side at front as we've gone up previously in height with some row-locks so we can just go in on the diagonal there:
It's the right and the rear we will have issues with:
Any ideas? Not sure the coping stone are securely fixed enough for hammering in lead wedges for the flashing, and would prefer not to angle grind a channel in for a run of lead.
