how to install a Reason8 BellBox

Hi

With reference to your Reason8 bell box, where did you purchase it.

I bought mine from Screwfix and had a similar problem, caused me a lot of fault finding before I concluded it was the box that was faulty, as was the second one.

The third box was ok.

Rob

mine was from tlc electrical, i'm beginnin to loose hope, it was my first project, i'm going mad

neither

set the link to test, with it wired at the panel end, connect it to bell box. go back down ladder and get the front cover, back up ladder change link to 20 mins, put cover on,tighten its fixings it should stop as soon as you put the cover on.

Breezer my friend,

rescue me please, i managed to:

1) wire the reason8 alarm at the pannel end
2) wire it at the reason8 bellbox end, with battery link off + timer on test

while i was testing system, by triggering an alarm the alarm didn't shout (is this coz the timer is on test?), but when i change the timer link to 20 minutes it did go mad, but then i close the cover and put user code but it does not shut up (even put engineer code)..........what is going on?

thank you for any input

If i don't get it sorted by tomorrow, i'm gonna have to call an alarm person, how much do i have to pay for a local company to install my bellbox??

all my system seems to be fine, it's this flippin bellbox that makes me feel daft and useless, i don't know if it's faulty or what?

it just does not stop, even with battery link set to NO

Don't know this sounder but would suggest that the battery link has to be connected, then defeat any anti tamper switches at both panel and reason 8

Reset the panel - turn it on - let it FULLY SET - then open the panel lid, this will cause an instant full alarm condition, see what happens

I will try this tonight (battery link on+open pannel cover), and will let you know...i'm going mad
