We had freestanding toilet roll holders. Wife decided on a whim to get the adhesive kind that stick on the wall. Except after a few weeks, it came off and brought the plaster with it. I patched it up with polyfilla and it looked okay until I went to screw in the new toilet roll holder and the polyfilla came away. I’ve managed to remove the patched area.

What should I use instead of polyfilla? 5cm X 5 cm approx

50/50 wood glue and water.
Lash on.
Allow to dry will bind surface.
Then fill.

If you got any wood glue use that as it's PVA
