Bits of my son's bedframe that were not needed for his xbox table fit perfectly in the gap in the floor. Well, perfectly after some persuasion with a saw, hammer and chisel.
And first box of boards down. Doing it the way first planned, just think the door will be easier for me to manage this way, and only thin bit of board will be hidden.
One problem - I have my first squeaky floorboard. Squeaks in one point, and hoping that once the boards cover the area the squeak will go. Won't be very noticeable if it does still squeak though, and I am not lifting the floor to find out why!
