How to remove this tap?

I'd certainly be going with the one in the showerdoc link, looks exactly the same, they're good guys though and will keep you right.

Nope, that's just a seal kit. It doesn't contain the rod section which I assume consists of a rod covered in rubber that is squashed in when tap is fully wound in. I could be wrong of course but the seal kit doesn't seem to have anything to replace that.
 
Just to close the thread off, I eventually fixed the drip. I ended up servicing the cartridge (replacing all O rings), reinserted and shower stopped dripping!
