Well Dogging, until I see a Gas Meter turning back with this magical boiler, I'll agree with you.I've always been sceptical of the standard SEDBUK readings, so for someone to claim 120%, is really just a continuation of the extraordinarily unbelievable.

Why would you have taken a screenshot, not likely is it
Because he cries to the mods
I reported it as bringing the forum into disrespect
Pullers are quite tame, so how come you do something against him, but not the others.

I must have disrespected Blowhardgreensl's repute
Fit PT100 temperature sensors to cold in, HW out, CH flow and CH return. Add an analogue flow meter in the cold in and data log the five channels.
For few seconds after a hot water tap is turned on the boiler is running at 0% efficiency. The boiler has fired up burning gas but these seconds the water leaving the boiler on HW out is still cold.
When the hot tap is turned off there is a slight rise in temperature of the CH flow.
Processing the raw data collected over several weeks provides accurate information on the amount of heat passed to the hot water. Daily gas meter readings provide the volume of gas used from which the energy created in the combustion chamber can be calculated. . ( boiler being the only gas appliance and CH disabled for the duration ).
Efficiency is highest when filling a bath or running a shower. Efficiency is lowest when hot water flow is used intermittantly such as washing up.
An impossibility for OUTPUT rating to exceed INPUT rating. You just have to compare the outputs at 80C/60C with those at 50C/30C. For my boiler it's 17.6kW and 19kW, so the increase is 7.95%. The input, in both cases is 18kW.
.
Are you deliberately ignoring what D_Hailsham wrote? Or just arguing with someone that nobody else can see, because nobody posted what you're disagreeing with?An impossibility for OUTPUT rating to exceed INPUT rating.
So we have an appliance on max rate consuming 1.7 m3/hr of gas although actually burning 1.8 m3/hr???
