How to waterproof this connector?

And you really think those cameras need 1Gbps?

They can often require over 100 Mbps given that almost all of these cameras will support simultaneous streams. On my home system, they support 16 simultaneous streams from the camera, and I typically have at least 8 running.

Just buy an external junction box. Small ones will fit those connectors diagonally

So not 1Gbps then. And most people will pull just one or two streams their NVR.

In my country, there is a simple cheap way to waterproof the connector and it's very simple: use the plastic water bottle (It's also a way to reuse the bottle, right :D ). Firstly, you need to cut the bottle vertically. Then put the connector inside the bottle and then use some tape to cover the bottle. Finnally, use double side tape to stick the bottle to the wall so that rain water will pass through it. I cannot take a photo to you, but I found a picture in gg that will illustrate my suggesstion clearly. Try it and good luck.

Of course It 's never as good as a waterproof box but it helps you not to cut the connector, right? :D. Moreover a plasticbox is not heavy at all so that you can stick it anywhere, and it's very durable :D
If you want to buy the tape, there is a kind of waterproof tape call nano tape, you can try it here: https://nano-tape.com/nano-tape-30mm-nano-magic-tape
