Even though the full background wasn't public then, paying for pictures of a teenage young man is more than enough grounds to have withheld his pay rise. It may have been contractual, but they could have sacked him on the spot for gross misconduct. Linekker would have been. I think that Edwards was regarded as a kind of establishment type figure, and that protected him

If I was a cynic, , I could easily argue that it is because the medical facilities in prisons are woefully inadequate.

Tell me this is a windup.. so they carry on paying Huw knowing he's a nonce and have now said 'err Huw now everyone knows we knew you were a nonce can you give back the money we were happily paying you until we got found out.
