I believe he has a history of depression which he has been public about for several years, and has raised awareness with it with people like Alastair Campbell. Like Mottie, I've always liked him for his work- I'm unnaturally sad about it. Maybe it's disappointment?

That's right, he has. Although another reason for staying in hospital would be avoiding the press on his doorstep, so his wife manages to protect the family and himself. A shrewd move.

Really? I don't see it. I see them repeatedly describing criminal actions and the possible punishment. If that's not implying he might have carried them out then what is?
