Hello
I am currently replacing my garage door with a door and window ….

Just dug out a 1m foundation…. However, there’s an existing footing for the existing side wall… Do I have to dig out underneath it and fill with concrete?

It looks like the garage foundation trench was returned across the door a bit to give plenty of space to pick up the garage front piers / brick returns.

If so, you don’t want to break them out, but you probably should drill out some holes and resin in some threaded Rod or rebar so you connect the new foundation to the old

I’d just pour concrete in and crack on. It’s only taking the load of that half height wall?

Hi yes just a 1 m high wall…

Btw, i have dug this out and it was a lot of hours…. Its an overkill… can’t believe you need a 1m for this small wall… I know I could have just done 500mm, but just want to keep in line with Reg’s etc… but it’s too much
