I need more sockets (Ed.)

i have socket in living room but only 2 and as kid coming with konsoles and dvds players then i will need more my question is should i prefer extension lead or additional sockets this maybe method by rewiring? which one is better and long lasting it will have to i will also tell builder to hide cables as we get media wall invor

Two sockets aren't enough for todays standards.

Adding another socket will be better. You most likely will be able to spur off the original ones.

If you use the extension lead, the current limit will be 13A.

You should wait and see if they are upgrading from DVD to Blueray.

Don't worry. Extension lead should be OK, just don't buy a cheap one online and don't plug a kettle or heater in to it.

for years, each TV thing uses so little power, no real problem, think mine came from Lidi, picture from Screwfix.

3-gang or 4-gang sockets can replace single or double sockets, if you're feeling lazy.
