HI

Hope you can help guys my girlfriend has the above boiler L8 code was flashing on display (no manual) looked on here and found it to be fan error, at first would not fire up on Hw or Ch, disconnected the board reconnected and boiler fired up no faults dispalyed but the fan is making a unusal sound not how it normally sounds.

Please help guys thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply mate, according to a previous post on hear it could be the board not sending the correct voltage to the fan hence it noisy fan so could it point to the board? or am i right in persuming the board is fine otherwise it would not send the signal to the fan to operate?

Ideally want to buy a new one dependant on parts places being open..

However were are you from in lancs? and how much?

Do you think its just the fan or board/fan or possibly both?

Hi, in bolton, and have all the parts it maybe. I am not a boiler engineer though.
