Two things, I had this
thermostat which gradually lost the RF link, and would not always fail safe, this
was designed to fail safe, and if no signal received every ½ hour it would close down, not read instructions for your thermostat.
But the second is, even if it does stick on, the TRV's should stop any over heating, the boiler may start cycling too much, and unless using a programmable type
then they only have one setting night and day, the one shown however can be programmed, and at £15 each in 2019 it seemed the sensible thing to do.
But for rooms to over heat there must be at least two faults, as well as wall thermostat the TRV's and/or lock shield valves must also need adjusting or renewing.
I am not saying the wall thermostat does not need fixing, as in the summer unless fixed the boiler will be cycling all day, but there must also be a secondary fault.
