Got a weird corner where a flue pipe hides in. Need it accessible for future access but not sure what I could do that would look nice? It’s only about 30cm wide but floor to ceiling tall.

Any ideas would be great!

Why would you need to access a flue pipe? Just wondering if you're making the job more complicated/ugly than it needs to be.

A bit of timber frame and plasterboard would do the job. You'll end up taking a huge offcut to the tip.

Plumber said there needs to be an inspect hatch because the flue runs 3 metres and you need to be able to inspect every metre of the boiler flue

You'd need to check what the regulations actually state. It may be that walling it in and including an access panel ticks the box. Definitely one to find out more about, and not to assume that it means the entire wall needs to be removable. Presumably it can't be inspected where it goes through the roof, common sense must apply somehow.

There are lots of off-the-shelf access panels available in all shapes and sizes. Plastic, metal, whatever. A door in a frame, build it in.

There are some you can tile over, probably others you can paint to match the wall.

I quite like a door in a frame to access, so it’s a little less ugly… just not quite how to visualise it and how it would work in this small corner section. Did have a think over the weekend that some form of removable shelving could work
