Put it on and show us. Drop a countersunk screw through the holes.
Also, photos of the plate showing all the letters and numbers, including the year.
And lie the lock down on its side, and take pictures of both sides clearly showing all the screws. I notice it does not have cutouts for a knob or handle screws. And the slot for the bolt stump is on the opposite side to the screws. The case has folded-in corners.
Is it really gold colour? Or khaki?
BTW I have seen quite number of locks marked "Wickes" that were actually ERA make.
On the key there is some out of focus lettering on the side that says "England." What does it say?
