Identify Boiler Pipework

The flow on that boiler can only go in one direction, if flow and returns are reversed this is only a problem with TRVs and external stuff not the boiler

Then why does the boiler manufacturer mark on his diagram the flow and return if it doesn't really matter? Why do you suppose my own replacement boiler had to have those same two pipes crossed over (and lots of others) if it didn't really matter?

It doesnt matter to the boiler, it matters to stuff connected to the boiler, the flow inside THAT boiler can not be changed, the pump is within the boiler and would have to be removed and fitted back in the wrong way and then the boiler wouldnt work, older boilers with external boilers yes reversed flow is a problem but not with THAT boiler, you really should read posts properly

Do you have plans to fit a filter on the return? Not nit picking just curious.
 
No I don't plan to, the system works fine as it is its only having work done to suit our new extension.
