Identifying shower fault

Isolator is still jammed on. As soon as turning the shower circuit on at the consumer unit it immediately bangs and trips off. The cable is all buried in a wall so would need to go knocking off plaster to find the joint.

That is rather different to what you originally suggested. Jammed on isolator, suggested the contacts have been welded up by the blast of the fault. So a new isolator needed.

Before replacing it, the fault needs to be found and fixed.

The picture of the isolator with the cover removed is a concern.

Are the earth wires terminated properly?

Are the lives and neutrals in the terminals properly?
