I'm on the M1 and I'm righteous

Perhaps he should have filmed the number plates too, and then sent the file to the police in case they wanted to prosecute.

Yeah - so he did - that'll teach me to comment not having seen it all - I'd stopped watching as it was all a bit dull and samey.

What a boring bloke he is!!

Lets hope somebody recognises him and reports him to the police for leaving his vehicle and walking on the motorway.

Someone puts a vid up, and look at you all. like kids,   your ruining a lot of threads, a lot of the time.

Not worth coming on here lately.

Sorry, no one in particular, the man on the vid was bang on, dik heds on the hard shoulder.END OF. then the thread goes to talking about nothing but crap. I'm more annoyed at the clowns on the hard shoulder, every thread changes course too regularly on here.

You lot seem to buzz arguing, than staying on what was a very sensible topic.... maybe am gettin old.

This does seem to be quite an aggressive part of the forum and from what I read there does appear to be a lot of bickering and name-calling between some of the long-standing members, which is fair enough in one sense but does make it a less than charming place to be at times for the occasional contributor.

It is a pity that there isn't some kind of feature that means that one could immediately hide a post that one considers of little value within a thread and which,if significant numbers take up the option leads that particular post to be flagged up for deletion by the mods. This is different from the "alert" button, and also the "ignore" feature which to my understanding means that a poster is entirely ignored regardless of whether he or she posts something useful and is thus complete overkill.

One of the worst things ever introduced, in certain parts of the country was the sign stating 'In the event of congestion use the hard shoulder'
absolute madness!
The hard shoulder is there for emergencies, be it a break down, or more importantly the emergency services.

The amount of times I see people stopping on the hard shoulder to use the phone, read a map etc etc, they think its ok to do that!

3 instances you can stop on a hard shoulder, you breakdown, for an emergency or if the police tell you stop......people abuse it to much these days.

whilst there is a bit of hypocrisy there as he shouldn't leave his vehicle unless instructed by competent person or to avoid a dangerous emergency

he is absolutely right in his sentiment they don't seem to be aware off the danger or care about the possible consequences off there actions

When the M1 was first opened, people used it to drive at a whole array of speeds from 15mph olde-worlde-car up to 120+mph jolly sporty type/racing car, and it wasn't unusual to come across cars parked on the hard shoulder with people sitting around having a picnic. Oh happy days

If he'd done that on the M6 Birmingham they would have pinched his camera.

I wonder who decided to name it the 'hard shoulder'?
