I think you'll find it was the fact that the EU saw through the TTIP deal and the way it favoured US corporates over elected governments...
And thus told uncle sam to do one!
But hey if the EU don't want to trade how come...
EU/US transatlantic trade reached an all-time high of 1.2 trillion euro in 2021, surpassing pre-pandemic levels by more than 10%...
Meanwhile UK/US trade hasn't done quite so well...
It still hasn't reached that same pre-pandemic level, let alone surpassing it...

In the most momentous decision on the future direction of the country in decades, not only couldn't Remain be @rsed to run their own campaign of any worth, they couldn't / were incapable of at least countering that of Leave.........
They made the mistake of assuming people would be perceptive to those blatant lies and persuaded to vote Remain on that basis.
People like Gant and the Man from MOT knew it was bullshit - and didn't care.
IMHO, Remain thought Remain were so cocksure of winning, they just didn't think they had to bother.
