Impact of Brexit on economy 'worse than Covid'...

Larry Elliott is a life long Euro sceptic, so it’s no surprise he pits together a bunch of opinions.

let’s take one:
“As far as the UK is concerned, between Brentry in 1973 and Brexit there have been four recessions, three boom/busts in the housing market and a gradual erosion of manufacturing capacity. Periods of sustained growth – first in the 1980s and again, more enduringly, in the 1990s and early 2000s – culminated in painful slumps. North Sea oil has come and gone, its proceeds squandered.”

where does he provide the evidence that was due to EU membership and not UK domestic policies?

I can answer…..he doesn’t.

let’s take another one:
“The creation of the single market in the 1980s did not lead to an acceleration of Europe’s growth rate, in large part because the thrust of economic policy – obsessed with the control of inflation and budget deficits – held countries back”

but the UK wasn’t in the Eurozone and not restricted to inflation limits…..so it doesn’t apply.

It was however a signatory to the Maastricht Treaty and article 126 is quite clear about debt and deficits, we've had this discussion before.

the UK has never been tied to Eurozone deficit regime….as I proved

We do not have a conservative government; if you think we do tell me what they have ever done that is conservative.
Can you see the word 'conservative' anywhere in my post?

We currently have an authoritarian, socialist, Blairite pro-EU government that hates the British people and their history.
The Tories only despise the poorest ones. However, they love their billionaire chums.

I suggest you move to somewhere within the EU.
I can’t Brexit, removed my freedoms.

Andy is saying he wants UK to be totally isolationist and to trade with no other country…..North Korea is the closest option for him,

No, but you said "tories" which for most people is used as a name with which to slur conservatives. However if you realise that the "Conservative Party" has no connection with actual conservatism there is hope.

Thanks to people like you voting Brexit!

And following that theme, it seems that plenty like yourself were easily fooled...

"I wish I’d voted to stay in: Brixham fishers on the cost of Brexit"

"Ian Perkes knows better than most the post-Brexit vision that was sold to the fishing industry by the Vote Leave team and the now prime minister, Boris Johnson.
Looking out over Brixham harbour from his office, the fish merchant recalls meeting Johnson in August 2019, less than six months before the UK ended its membership of the European Union. “He’s telling me we’re going to have to take on extra staff because we’re going to be so busy,” Perkes says. “With all this free trade, they’re going to want our fish.”
Asked how he now views the prime minister, he pauses. “I’m disappointed,” he replies bitterly. “He never mentioned the extra costs.”

"But Perkes surprises with a key admission – he voted to leave the EU. “but I wish I had voted to stay in. I never realised we were going to incur all these costs. We were told it was going to be free trade.”

The facts were all out there, but they were labelled 'project fear'...

Day by day that becomes 'project reality'!
