Improving/filling crusher

Planning on mixing in/topping up those patches with grano 6mm to dust as that’s all I can get hold of easily in small quantities, then wet it then whack. Hopefully better than nothing?
This should work. Type 1 relies on the fines to stay compact so all you are doing is adding fines back.

"Them"!

Just joking, MOT is pretty variable, it can be a bag of dust or like lego bricks. Also it can get shaken about during transport so the fine stuff ends up on top or bottom depending on weird physics stuff.

Not enough fine stuff... add some, or probably don't if you're putting gravel on top as it may end up mixing into the gravel and rising to the top.

When you buy from the quarry, you decide the material you want. There is no removal of anything.

Not with MOT as it includes everything down to dust. It was a daft comment, not really warranting any great debate.

They can control how much dust there is without sifting, by setting the fineness of the crusher. Also what you get in your bulk bag or tipper truck will be part of a pile, so may not be the full spectrum of what came out of the crusher. E.g. the outer edges of a heap will be coarser as the bits roll off the top.
